"High quality data for hearing, eye-health and vision in the UK."

The UKNEHS is a national research study gathering data to help us understand why people in the UK are losing their sight due to preventable causes, and why some people continue to live with correctable visual impairments and hearing loss.

UKNEHS?

The UKNEHS is a nation-wide study across all four nations.

It will identify the prevalence and causes of vision and hearing impairment, blindness and deafness in the UK population aged 50 and over.

WHY...?

People in the UK are losing their vision and hearing due to preventable causes

Others continue to live with impaired vision and hearing that could be corrected.

This study has been developed to find out why this is happening, and will be able to show us what is needed to better support eye and hearing health across the UK.

Welcome to The UKNEHS!
